Tulsi Gabbard responds at the Senate Intelligence Committee’s global threat hearing.

America’s National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard has said that Pakistan is developing such long-range ballistic missiles, which can be capable of attacking America. He made this statement in the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing related to global threat in Washington DC.

According to Gabbard, the Intelligence Community (IC) estimates that by 2035 the number of missiles posing a threat to America could increase from 3,000 to more than 16,000. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Pakistan are developing new missile systems that can carry nuclear and conventional weapons.

He said that Pakistan’s missile program may include such intercontinental ballistic missiles, whose strike capability reaches up to America. At the same time, Iran also has such technology with which it can develop ICBM before 2035.

Gabbard said- Russia and China can penetrate American missile defense system

Gabbard described China and Russia as the biggest and most persistent threats. According to him, these countries are developing such advanced technology that can penetrate the American missile defense system.

He also mentioned the cyber threat of North Korea and said that in 2025 it raised about $2 billion through cryptocurrency theft, which funded its weapons program.

During the hearing, Gabbard refused to directly answer questions on possible war with Iran and previously released intelligence. She said she could not disclose internal discussions.

Concern was also raised that if Iran is attacked, it could close the Strait of Hormuz, which is an important route for global oil and gas supply.

Democrats angry with Gabbard’s answer

Tulsi Gabbard repeatedly dodged questions about the intelligence briefing given to the Republican president. This angered the Democrats.

The top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, asked Gabbard whether she had advised Trump that if Iran was the target of US attacks he would attack the Gulf states and close the Strait of Hormuz. Gabbard did not give a direct answer to this question either.

He said- I have not disclosed the internal discussions nor will I. “I would like to say that all of us in the intelligence community continue to provide the President with the best objective intelligence information available to help him make his decisions,” she said.
