The US Army once again attacked the boat of Venezuela drug smugglers on Monday. 3 people were killed in this attack. President Trump posted this information on social media.
He described these smugglers as a terrorist associated with Narco Terrorist i.e. drug cartel. Trump wrote in social media posts,
On my order, the US Army strikes on the drug smuggling Cartel and Narco Terrorist. These people were taking the narcotics from Venezuela to America.
He said that drug cartel is a major threat to American national security, foreign policy and interests. Trump also reported that American forces were not harmed in this attack.
Two weeks ago, the US Army claimed to kill 11 people associated with the infamous train de Aragua gang of Venezuela. External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio also indicated that the US could carry out more major attacks against drug cartel.

Usually this status is for terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda or Islamic State, but the Trump administration said that these gangs are causing so much harm through drug smuggling, human trafficking and violence that they should be considered a terrorist organization.
Law is not allowed to kill smugglers
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said last week that the government had the right to use military forces against drug smugglers. But according to American law experts, this is not the case.
By declaring a terrorist, the government can confiscate their property or impose financial ban on them, but does not get the right to action like war.
In 2001, Parliament approved the use of military forces in Afghanistan against al-Qaeda and Taliban.
Later, different US governments also expanded this law and also took action against other Islamic militant organizations. But under this law, military action against drugs cartel is not allowed.
