Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have filed a petition against YouTube and Google in the Delhi High Court for Deepfek video made from AI. According to media reports, the couple has also demanded compensation of about Rs 4 crore.
Along with this, he has also appealed to the court that instructions should be issued on social media platforms to permanently stop the illegal and objectionable use of his personality, face, voice and image.
According to a report by Reuters, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai filed their petition on 6 September. This petition of about 1,500 pages includes hundreds of links and screenshots, claiming that there are many videos on YouTube that their photos and voices have been used in fake, misleading and derogatory ways.
The petitioners say that such videos are not only hurting their reputation, but are also serious violating the fundamental rights of their privacy.
Explain that the Delhi High Court has taken strict steps in this matter and issued a notice to Google and ordered to file a written reply. The next hearing of the couple’s petition will now be held on 15 January 2026.

Even before this, the couple filed a petition
This is not the first time the couple has filed a case against AI videos. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan filed a petition in the Delhi High Court on 10 September Wednesday. In this, he requested the court to protect his publicity and personality rights (image and personality rights in public).
Also, websites and online platforms should be prevented from using their image, parsona and fake videos, especially sexual content. Whereas earlier on Tuesday, his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also filed a petition in the Delhi High Court for personality rights. Both were also relieved from the court.
