Now Mid-Day report has revealed that after the Indian women’s cricket team recently won the ODI World Cup, the producers of the film Chakda Express are now excited about its release. Producers have written a letter to the top officials of Netflix India appealing to release the film.

Anushka plays the character of Jhulan Goswami in the film, who is a former Indian women’s cricketer and team captain.

A source said, “We have personally written to the top executives of Netflix India to rise above this controversy and release the film. A biopic on a legend like Jhulan Di must reach the audience.”

The source also revealed that the film has been stuck for several years because Netflix executives did not like the outcome. The production house had exhausted its budget and the platform heads did not find the size of the project appropriate. Still, the film is strong.”

Another source said that the team has started discussing the film again and a decision regarding the release can be taken within this month.
