The fourth season of the Women’s Premier League will start from today. The opening match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be played at DY Patil Stadium from 7:30 PM.
5 teams are participating. 22 matches will be played at 2 venues for 28 days. There will be 2 playoffs and 20 league matches.

First match between Mumbai and Bengaluru The first match of the tournament will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. As per tradition, the opening match is played at the home ground of the defending champion team. Mumbai won the title last year by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final by 8 runs.

6 matches will clash with Team India’s matches 6 matches of the Women’s Premier League will clash with the Indian men’s team. Out of these, 2 matches will clash with Team India captained by Shubman Gill. Whereas, 4 matches will clash with the matches of Under-19 Team India.
Gill’s team has to play a series of 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches against New Zealand. Which will start from January 11. Women’s Premier League matches are going to clash with Team India’s ODI matches on January 11 and 14.
India’s youth team is going to participate in the Under-19 World Cup from January 15. In such a situation, 4 matches of the league will also clash with this.

This time there will be 2 double headers There will be 2 double headers in the current season of the Women’s Premier League. Double header means two matches in a day. The first doubleheader will take place on January 10, while the second will take place on January 17.

Eliminator match on 3rd February The playoffs will begin on February 3. The eliminator will be played on this day in Vadodara from 7:30 pm. The team that wins this will secure a place in the finals. The final will be held on 5 February. This match will also start at 7:30 pm in Vadodara.
