BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Rahul does not know how to speak. Does anyone go abroad and speak ill of India?

BJP has hit back at Sam Pitroda’s statement that Rahul Gandhi will become the Prime Minister in the future. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said that if Pitroda really sees the image of PM in Rahul, then he should first teach him how to speak.

The BJP MP further said- Rahul goes abroad and ridicules India. He goes abroad and raises questions on India’s democracy, media and judiciary. Pitroda should make him do his homework on when, where and how to speak.

Indian Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda said on 4 September (Wednesday) that Rajiv Gandhi’s son Rahul Gandhi is more intelligent than him. Apart from being an intellectual, he is also a better strategist. Rahul has all the qualities of a future Prime Minister.

Pitroda said- a campaign was run to create a wrong image of Rahul

Sam Pitroda said in an interview to news agency PTI from Chicago that a wrong image of Rahul was created. Millions of dollars were spent to defame him. The image of Rahul in the media was based on a planned campaign. Rahul is very educated. People said that he never went to college. False things were said about him.

The Congress leader said, ‘Now Rahul’s image is coming out as he really is. His two Bharat Jodo Yatras helped a lot in this. I give credit to Rahul for this. He fought against this for a long time and survived. If someone else had been there, he would not have survived.

It is bad to attack the character of a person, his family, his legacy, his party day and night. These are selfish people who deliberately lie, deceive and say all sorts of things about individuals. However, now the public has started realizing that someone is controlling the media. News is created to harm people. The lies are coming out.

Congress leader said- Rajiv and Rahul have same concern for people

On the question of similarities and differences between former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Pitroda said, ‘I have worked with many Prime Ministers like Rajiv Gandhi, PV Narasimha Rao, Manmohan Singh, VP Singh, Chandrashekhar and HD Deve Gowda.

I got the opportunity to see many former PMs very closely, but perhaps the difference between Rahul and Rajiv is that Rahul is more intellectual, a thinker. Rajiv was a little more of a doer. Their DNA is the same. Their concerns and feelings for people are the same. They are really very simple people. They have no personal needs of their own.

Pitroda said- Rahul suffered the shock of his grandmother and father’s death
The Congress leader further said, ‘Rahul and Rajiv are products of different times, means, experiences. Rahul has gone through two big shocks in his life. He saw the death of his grandmother and his father. Rahul and Rajiv’s journey is different.

The India that the Congress had envisioned and every leader of the party believes in, is an India that the Congress party had envisioned and every leader of the party believes in. Narasimha Rao believed in it, Kharge believes in it. It is the collective job of all of us Congress leaders to build the India that our founders had envisioned.

Congress leader said- Rahul criticizes the government, not India

Pitroda termed the BJP’s attack on Rahul Gandhi over his comments criticising the Centre during his foreign trips as baseless. He said that criticising the government is not criticising India. It is okay for opposition leaders to criticise the government. It is their job, so why complain. I think this whole business of criticising abroad is nonsense.

The Congress leader further said, ‘Rahul Gandhi will visit America on 8-10 September. This is not his official visit. Rather, he is coming to talk to different people on a personal level. Rahul will interact with the media at the National Press Club in America. He will meet a team of experts and will also interact at Georgetown University.’

On the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Pitroda said, ‘There was a fear in the 2019 elections that the BJP could get 400 seats. Then they would have got an absolute majority. This could have created concerns in the minds of many people about the Constitution, authoritarian mentality, more attacks on the opposition and the media. Therefore, this time the election was very important, because the BJP could have been brought down to 240 seats.

Sam Pitroda had said in May that South Indians look African, then resigned

Congress leader Sam Pitroda resigned from the post of President of Indian Overseas Congress on May 8. A video of him came out in which he said that people from East India look like Chinese and those from South India look like Africans.

When Pitroda’s statement came out, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing a rally in Warangal, Telangana. The Prime Minister said, ‘The prince’s philosopher insulted the countrymen on the basis of their skin. He abused them.’

Congress had distanced itself from Pitroda’s statement. Congress said that this definition of India’s diversity is not acceptable. Pitroda was already in controversy over his statements on inheritance tax. However, on June 26, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge re-appointed Sam Pitroda as the President of Indian Overseas Congress. Read full news…
