The accident occurred between 7 and 8 in the morning when a program to offer Ladu (Prasad) to Adinath Lord was going on during the Nirvana Festival.
The organizers built a 65 high wooden platform for this. Above the 4-5 feet tall statue of God was kept above. The devotees were climbing above the stairs to reach God. Meanwhile, due to weight gain, the entire scaffolding fell down. The accident took place in Barot tehsil, 20 km from Baghpat city.
