Amid the tremendous success of director Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar and its sequel, a statement by actor Paresh Rawal is in the news. Rawal has said that he should have been a part of this franchise and for the first time watching a film, he felt like he wished he was in it too. Paresh Rawal, while talking to news agency PTI recently, praised Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. He told that he has seen the first part of the film twice, while he has also seen the second part and wants to watch it again. According to him, it is not just a film but a saga, which influenced him a lot. Paresh Rawal said, “For the first time I felt that I should have been a part of this film.” He also jokingly told director Aditya Dhar that if given a chance, he would have wanted to play an interesting character in the film. Stars like Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal are seen in important roles in the film. There is special discussion about the character of R Madhavan, which is said to be inspired by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Interestingly, Paresh Rawal has previously played a similar role in Uri: The Surgical Strike. In Uri: The Surgical Strike, Paresh Rawal played the character of National Security Advisor Govind Bhardwaj, who is believed to be inspired by Ajit Doval. Rawal found the different interpretations of such characters in both the films interesting and said that the audience liked this diversity. He also believed that the story, scale and presentation of Dhurandhar make it special, due to which it has proved to be a big hit among the audience. Let us tell you that the Dhurandhar franchise is breaking records at the box office and is getting tremendous response in the country and abroad.
