She told, “When Rajkumar Hirani was casting ‘Sanju’, I myself called him. I told him – please give me work, I have no work and I am looking for new projects. I promise I will give a screen test, you just give me a chance.” Hirani spoke to Ranbir Kapoor and the team and Dia got the role of Manyata Dutt, which proved to be a ‘life saver’ for her.
