I was not confident that I could play a villain, especially Komolika, because Urvashi Dholakia had played that character very well. I felt that I would not be able to play that character well and would fail, so I did not want to do it.

Hina Khan said, ‘But then Ekta Kapoor supported me a lot and gave me confidence in playing this role. She told me that you are her Komolika and she could not think of casting anyone else in this character.
