10 months after the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, the families of the victims have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding to make the black box and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) data public.
The families said they want to know why the plane crashed and whether there was a technical fault. The relatives said that if the black box data cannot be made public, then at least it should be shared privately with the families.
On June 12, 2025, a Boeing 787-8 aircraft going from Ahmedabad to London fell on the Medical College Hostel soon after takeoff. A total of 260 people, including 241 passengers and 19 others, died in this accident.
