The investigation into the death of actress and model Twisha Sharma under suspicious circumstances is intensifying. Twisha’s body will be re-postmortemed on Sunday. For this, a four-member team of senior doctors from Delhi AIIMS reached Bhopal on Saturday evening in a chartered plane of the state government with state-of-the-art equipment. The postmortem will be held at Bhopal AIIMS in the presence of family members. Videography of the entire process will be done. The High Court has given instructions for re-postmortem with video recording. At present, Twisha’s body has been kept in the mortuary of Bhopal AIIMS. Investigating agencies can also re-inspect the incident site to verify the facts related to the case. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the case and the hearing will be held in the Chief Justice’s bench on Monday. Samarth said – Twisha’s behavior had changed after pregnancy. Meanwhile, accused husband Samarth Singh is currently on 7-day remand of Bhopal Police. During two hours of police interrogation, Samarth Singh told that after marriage, their relationship was normal. Twisha’s pregnancy was confirmed on 17 April 2026. After this his behavior started changing. After returning from the hospital, Twisha had said that she wants to go to her home in Delhi and cannot live a domestic life. The same evening she took a flight to Delhi and then reached her home in Noida. Samarth told that after a lot of convincing, Twisha returned to Bhopal with her mother and brother on 23 April. Samarth told the police that he had already booked tickets to go to Bengaluru on April 24. Initially Twisha was ready for this. Later he refused to go along. Said that she wants to go to Nasirabad, Ajmer to her brother. There was an altercation between the two regarding this matter. Twisha had gone to Ajmer to visit her brother on April 24. According to Samarth, Twisha had said that when you return from Bangalore, let me know. I will be back. He told that he had also informed about this matter to mother Giribala Singh, Twisha’s mother and brother. During the conversation, he also said that there is a sudden change in Twisha’s nature. The family considered it a normal marital dispute and suggested a compromise. Samarth also said that after this their relationship remained sour. According to her, Twisha often said that she belongs to the glamor world. Domestic life is not for him. However, the police believe that the accused is giving misleading information to protect himself. The police are now interrogating him in detail about the circumstances and events of the day of the incident. Samarth told the police that on April 24, Twisha had gone to Ajmer by train to join her brother. After a few days, he came to know that Twisha stayed in Ajmer only for a day and went to Delhi from there. Twisha returned to Bhopal on April 30 after Samarth returned from Bengaluru. After returning from the parlor, Twisha and Samarth had taken a walk together. Samarth told the police that on May 12, around 6 pm, Twisha returned home from the parlor. After this, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, both of them took a walk in the park in front of the house. After returning home, both of them had dinner together. Kept sitting outside the house for some time. After about 20-25 minutes, both of them went to the room at around 8:30 pm and started watching TV. According to Samarth, about half an hour later, Twisha went to the room below, where she was talking to her parents on the phone. During this time I fell asleep due to fatigue. After some time, mother Giribala Singh called and informed that Twisha was not visible. Not even receiving calls. Mother’s call came, saying – Twisha is upset and crying. Samarth told that in the meantime Twisha’s mother also called. He said Twisha looked upset and was crying, so go and check on her. On this Samarth told his mother that she might have gone to the terrace to talk, go there and check. When the mother reached the terrace, she saw that Twisha had hanged herself with the elastic belt used in exercise. Hearing the noise I also reached there. I lifted Twisha up by supporting her from below, while mother climbed on the bed nearby and tried to loosen the noose. After a lot of effort, the noose was removed and she was made to lie down on the bed. According to Samarth, Twisha’s height was about 5 feet 8 inches and her weight was about 80 kg. After much effort, the noose was removed and he was made to lie down on the bed. After this, the sons of the aunt living in the neighborhood were called. I also gave CPR to Twisha, but there was no movement in the body. After this, with the help of three people, Twisha was brought down and taken to AIIMS hospital by car, where doctors declared her dead after examination. Samarth asked for packed water to drink, but did not get it. In police custody, Samarth asked for packed water to drink, but the police did not fulfill his demand. After this he was given normal water from the police station. Samarth spent the night at Katara Hills police station, where there was no provision for a cooler. Due to the heat, he spent the night restless and tossing and turning. Let us tell you that on the night of 12th May, Twisha died under suspicious circumstances in Katara Hills, Bhopal. The in-laws side called it suicide, while the maternal side is accusing the husband and in-laws of murder. Now know what happened in this case in the last 48 hours. Samarth Singh’s advocacy license suspended. On May 22, the Council of India (BCI) suspended the advocacy license of lawyer Samarth Singh. BCI Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra gave this order. In-laws’ side demanded handing over the body. During the hearing in Madhya Pradesh High Court, the in-laws’ side i.e. Samarth Singh, citing Hindu customs, demanded handing over the body of Twisha Sharma to her husband. However, the court rejected this demand. The court has also summoned a copy of the bail order from Bhopal court. On behalf of the state government, Advocate General Prashant Saini did not raise any objection to conducting the postmortem again. On the other hand, the High Court has also issued notice to retired judge Giribala Singh. Twisha’s father has filed a petition demanding cancellation of his anticipatory bail. Order for re-postmortem of deadbody: On Friday, Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered re-postmortem of Twisha Sharma’s deadbody. The court has said that the team under the leadership of the director of Delhi AIIMS will conduct the postmortem at Bhopal AIIMS. Videography of the entire process will also be done. Till then the police have been instructed to keep the body safe. Here, the Madhya Pradesh government has written a letter to the Central Government for a CBI investigation into the matter. Has given consent for investigation. On May 20, Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma along with retired soldiers had come to meet Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, when the Chief Minister had assured an investigation. Lawyer said – We have withdrawn Samarth’s bail plea. Samarth’s lawyer Jaideep Kaurav said in Jabalpur – Four cases in Twisha’s case were pending before the court simultaneously. There was an application for anticipatory bail of one Samarth. The second was a writ petition from Twisha’s father for re-postmortem. Two bail cancellation petitions were filed, which were against the bail of Giribala. He told- The court has issued a notice in this matter. Have sought answers from them. The next hearing will be held on May 25 at 2:30 pm. He has to answer before the court. We have withdrawn Samarth’s petition. A demand was made to cancel the anticipatory bail of the retired judge. Advocate General Prashant Singh said – three types of cases were presented before the High Court. The first case pertained to an application filed by the state government seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to Giribala Singh by the Bhopal district court. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta presented the case on behalf of the government. Mehta said that due to conditional anticipatory bail, the prosecution is not getting the required cooperation. This may affect the evidence. The court has directed the state government to serve notice to the concerned parties. Samarth was presented in Bhopal court, not even a wrinkle on his face. On Saturday, Samarth Singh was presented in Bhopal District Court. The court approved Samarth’s 7-day police remand. At the same time, on the application given by Twisha’s family, the court has also ordered to confiscate Samarth’s passport. However, on behalf of Samarth, it was said in the court that he would surrender his passport himself. Let us tell you that the police had also issued a look-out notice against Samarth. There was also a possibility of him running away abroad. At around 2 am on Friday-Saturday night, the police took Samarth from Jabalpur to Bhopal. He was kept in Katara Hills police station. The force remained deployed by barricading outside the police station. Before presenting him in the court, the police also got him medically tested at JP Hospital in Bhopal. To protect him from the media, the police team kept him roaming around AIIMS Hospital and Link Road for one and a half hours. Now know what will happen next, Twisha’s postmortem will be done at AIIMS Bhopal on Sunday. Videography of the entire process will also be done. After this the body will be handed over to the family. At present, the family has not clarified whether the last rites will be held in Bhopal or Delhi. He says that the decision regarding further procedure and last rites will be taken only after the second postmortem. Samarth will be interrogated during remand, he will be taken to the spot. Police is finding out the story of Samarth from the day of the incident till his absconding. Will be taken along with him to the spot and other evidence related to the incidents that happened that day will be collected. Hearing on cancellation of bail of Giribala Singh will be heard on Monday in Bhopal District Court. After the bail is cancelled, he can also be arrested. Along with this, the process is going on to remove him from the post of President of Consumer Forum.
