Music director Ismail Darbar recently spoke openly about his feud with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He also said that when the news of Aishwarya and Salman’s fight came, he felt very bad.

In an interview with Vicky Lalwani, when Darbar was asked whether Salman was not cast in “Devdas” because he had a past relationship with Aishwarya, Darbar said, “All this was already published in the media. We also came to know through the media only. We felt bad from inside that both are such good friends, there is so much love between them. Then why are they fighting?”

Darbar further said, Aishwarya Rai is also very nice and Salman is also a very nice person. It was nice to see both of them. We felt bad when we fought. Then gradually both of them separated. Even today we feel very bad. Now there is no need to repeat those old things. He said, “Today Aishwarya has become someone else’s wife. Salman himself never talks about it. He is very intelligent and Aishwarya is not an ordinary person, she is the daughter-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan.”

Ismail Darbar received the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.

At the same time, Darbar also said about Bhansali, “When I needed work, Bhansali gave me ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. When he needed me, I left everything and went to work for him. After all, he was my godfather in the industry. My heart tells me that the relationship between him and Salman deteriorated when he cast Shahrukh in ‘Devdas’. Salman supported Bhansali despite ‘Khamoshi’ being a flop. This is clear. That is, if I help you twice and the third time you bring my rival into the film, I will feel bad.”

Actually, there was a time when the pair of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ismail Darbar was considered to be the most brilliant pair of Bollywood. Both of them worked together in hit films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and ‘Devdas’. In these films, the music of Ismail Darbar became the identity of Bhansali’s films.

But with time their relationship deteriorated. Recently Ismail Darbar told that Bhansali has now become egoistic and even if he gets Rs 100 crore, he will not work with him.

Actually, their relationship deteriorated when a news came in the media regarding the music of ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, for which the credit was given to him. Bhansali felt that this news had been spread by the court. After this, Bhansali called him to the office and asked questions, due to which Darbar felt insulted. “I myself left ‘Hiramandi’ because I felt he was going to fire me,” Darbar said.
