On September 11 last year, there was a grenade attack on house number 575 located in Sector-10. Here two youths named Rohan and Vishal Masih had escaped after throwing a hand grenade. America-based terrorist Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasiya has claimed responsibility for the attack through internet media.
Happy Pasiya has been living in America for a long time and works for Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda of Babbar Khalsa International Organization. It was through him that weapons were provided to the perpetrators of this attack.
Five accused have been arrested so far in this case.

Initially the investigation of this case was with Chandigarh Police. But later the case was handed over to NIA. So far 5 accused have been arrested in this case. These include Rohan and Vishal, Amarjeet Singh, Akashdeep Singh and Kuldeep. Kuldeep drives an auto in Chandigarh and the accused took the auto from Sector 43 bus stand to Sector 10 and fled away after committing the crime.
The accused had fled after the incident in the auto.
The accused had come to Chandigarh to conduct recce two days before the attack.
According to the police, the accused had come to Chandigarh in a Volvo bus on September 9, two days before the attack. He also did recce of the house. The detained auto driver Kuldeep told the police that the accused had hired him to go to Sector-10. The accused had asked him to return after roaming around Sector-10.
According to sources, during Reiki on September 9, both the suspects had talked to a youth named Sanjay on ISBT-43 for one minute and 43 seconds. Sanjay provides hotels to the people coming outside the bus stand. The police have also talked to him.
