Yellow alert of dense fog has been issued in most of the districts of Haryana. Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in Hisar, Nathusari Chowpata, Ellenabad, Fatehabad, Rania, Kaithal, Narwana, Nassarsa, Tohana, Kalayat, Ratia, Dabwali, Guhla, Pehowa, Ambala, Kalka, Panchkula.

Visibility in these areas is likely to be less than 50 meters. The Meteorological Department has put Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind, Charkhi Dadri on alert regarding dense fog.

Murthal of Haryana was included among the most polluted cities. The AQI here was recorded at 451. The level of air pollution here is very bad. AQI was recorded at 378 in Jind, 289 in Gurugram, 288 in Bhiwani, 282 in Faridabad, 270 in Bahadurgarh and 227 in Rohtak. This data of AQI of cities of Haryana is as of 6 am on November 16.

On the other hand, continuous changes are being seen in the weather of Punjab and Chandigarh. The effect of fog will be seen in Punjab-Chandigarh till 17th November. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of fog in Amritsar, Tarnamaran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Firozpur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, SAS Nagar and Malerkotla.

What is the effect of dense fog in Haryana? The Central Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has imposed Graded Response System (GRAP)-3 restrictions in Delhi-NCR. There are 14 cities of the state in NCR, in which crusher-mining has been banned from 8 am on Friday (November 15). Apart from this, the decision to close schools for children up to class 5 has been left to the government. State Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the Deputy Commissioners of the districts can take the decision about closing schools for children.

What are the restrictions in GARP-3 in 14 cities of the state.. 14 districts of Haryana come under NCR. These include Faridabad, Gurugram, Nuh, Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari, Jhajjar, Panipat, Palwal, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jind and Karnal. According to Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally changeable but dry till November 17. On November 16, due to easterly winds, there may be intermittent partly cloudy sky and fog. After this, from November 17 again due to north and north-westerly winds blowing at moderate speed, the day temperature is likely to remain around normal and the night temperature is likely to drop slightly.

Patiala- The maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 24.7 degrees. Today the temperature is expected to be between 15 to 24 degrees.
