A case of misbehavior with a female officer has come to light during the National Census work in Bengaluru. Police have registered a case against the accused, who abused the female employee and stopped her from working.
Police said that the incident took place on April 30 at around 4 pm. The woman enumerator had gone to a house in Mallasandra in T Dasarahalli area for census work. During that time the accused misbehaved with her.

The complaint has been lodged by Census Supervisory Officer Yogesh OG. According to him, a person named Anand Muniyappa tried to stop the census work and abused the female employee. It has been said in the FIR that he even refused to give necessary information.
Along with this, the accused also stopped the female officer from performing her duty. According to the police, a case has been registered in this matter under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code and relevant sections of the Census Act.
A case has been registered at Bagalgunte police station and investigation has been started. A senior police officer said that investigation into the case is ongoing and further action is being taken.
At the same time, Bengaluru North City Corporation has appealed to the people to cooperate in the census work, so that this process can be completed properly.
